Cromer Hospital : ウィキペディア英語版 | Cromer Hospital
Cromer and District Hospital opened in 1932 in the suburb of Suffield Park in the town of Cromer within the English county of Norfolk.〔''OS Explorer Map 24”(Edition A 1997) – “Norfolk Coast Central''. ISBN 0-319-21726-4.〕 The hospital is run by the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and provides an important range of acute consultant and nurse-led services to the residents of the district of North Norfolk. The hospital provides a Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) service. The MIU is open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm, and is staffed by emergency nurse practitioners. Other services at Cromer include day surgery and procedures, out-patient care, renal dialysis, x-ray and ultrasound diagnostics. ==The Sagle Bernstein legacy== A Cromer resident by the name of Mrs Sagle Bernstein left a substantial legacy to Cromer and District Hospital in 2001.〔() Widows £11 million Bequest〕 The sum was £11.4 million which she left because of the excellent care that her sister had received as a patient at the hospital. The terms of Mrs Bernstein’s will were that it is to be spent on “improvement of general facilities” and the legacy can only be spent at Cromer Hospital. It is planned that a new hospital will be built on the site of the present hospital. The legacy is to be used towards the cost of building and equipping the new hospital. £500,000 of the legacy has already been spent on an eight-station renal dialysis unit which opened in June 2006.〔() The New Renal Dialysis Unit〕 The dialysis unit was relocated in the refurbished Barclay ward in January 2011.〔(The Bernstein legacy ) Retrieved August 01, 2008〕
